Salisu Abubakar Maikasuwa (born 4 March 1958) is a Nigerian public administrator who served as the Clerk of the National Assembly of Nigeria.


Early Life

Maikasuwa was born on 4 March 1958 to Abubakar and Fatima Maikasuwa of the Keffi royal family, in present-day Nasarawa State.


Education

  • Attended Abdu Zanga Primary School, Keffi – First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC), 1970
  • Attended Government Secondary School, Kuru (now in Plateau State) – West African School Certificate, 1975
  • Enrolled at the School of Basic Studies, ZariaBasic Studies Certificate
  • Gained admission to Ahmadu Bello University, ZariaBachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, 1980
  • Obtained Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Policy Analysis from the University of Jos, 1983

Career

Salisu Maikasuwa is best known for his tenure as Clerk of the National Assembly, one of the top administrative positions in Nigeria's federal legislative body.
