Nimi Dimkpa Briggs

(22 February 1944 – 10 April 2023)

Nimi Briggs was a Nigerian academic, scholar, and Emeritus Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.


Education

Briggs began his early education at Nyemoni Grammar School, Abonnema, and later attended Baptist High School, Port Harcourt.
He completed his secondary education at Government College, Umuahia.
In June 1969, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Death

Briggs passed away on 10 April 2023, at the age of 79.
