McPherson University (McU)
Established in 2012, McPherson University (McU) is named after the late Aimee Semple McPherson – the founder of the Foursquare Gospel Church, whose vision has always been to impact life through leadership, development, and service.
McU is emerging as a hub of intellectual activity with modern ICT facilities, a reputation for academic discipline, moral integrity, and a competitive edge that is reshaping Nigerian education.
The University is a vision of the Foursquare Gospel Church, Nigeria, emphasizing balanced education to raise future leaders and change-makers.
McU was officially licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) on Tuesday, 28 February 2012, as the 49th private university and 121st university in Nigeria.
It is located on 122.3 hectares of land at Seriki-Sotayo, near Foursquare City, Ajebo, situated approximately between:
- Latitude: 7º07N and 7º08N
- Longitude: 3º41N
- Elevation: 82m to 109m
