Mobolaji Ebenezer Aluko (born 2 April 1955) is a Nigerian chemical engineer and academic. He is a former Professor of Chemical Engineering at Howard University, Washington, D.C., USA. He currently serves as the Commissioner for Infrastructure & Public Utilities in Ekiti State, Nigeria.

Academic Career

Aluko has had a distinguished academic career, particularly in the field of chemical engineering. He served as a professor at Howard University, one of the leading historically Black colleges and universities in the United States, where he contributed to teaching, research, and academic development.

Vice-Chancellorship

In 2011, the Federal Government of Nigeria appointed Aluko as the inaugural Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Otuoke (in Bayelsa State). He served in this role until the completion of his tenure in 2016. During his leadership, the university laid down its foundational academic and administrative structures.

Government Appointment

Following his academic tenure, Aluko returned to Nigeria, where he was appointed as the Commissioner for Infrastructure & Public Utilities in Ekiti State. In this capacity, he oversees projects related to public infrastructure, including energy, water supply, and road development.
