Aisha Muhammed-Oyebode (born 24 December 1963) is a Nigerian lawyer, entrepreneur, author, activist, and philanthropist. She is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Asset Management Group Limited and the Chief Executive Officer of the Murtala Muhammed Foundation.
Early Life and Education
Muhammed-Oyebode is the first of six children born to General Murtala Ramat Muhammed, a former Head of State of Nigeria, and Ajoke Murtala Muhammed. Her father was assassinated when she was twelve years old.

- Studied Law at the University of Buckingham, UK — LLB (Hons)
- Obtained a Master’s degree in Public International Law from King’s College, University of London
- Holds an MBA in Finance from Imperial College, London
- Earned a Doctorate degree from SOAS University of London
Career
Muhammed-Oyebode began her professional journey with the Ministry of External Affairs (1988–1989) during her National Youth Service.
- 1989 – Associate at Ajumogobia, Okeke, Oyebode & Aluko, Lagos
- 1991 – Founded Asset Management Group Limited, a real estate development company
She has served on numerous boards:
- Chair, Board of Trustees, Unity School Old Students Association
- Non-Executive Director, Diamond Bank Nigeria
- Board Member, Women’s Leadership Board, Harvard Kennedy School (appointed 2017)
- Board Chair, Lekoil Nigeria Limited
- Board Chair, NEEM Foundation
Philanthropy & Activism
In 2001, she founded the Murtala Muhammed Foundation in memory of her late father. The foundation focuses on:
- Social justice and security issues
- Particularly active in the northern states of Nigeria
Muhammed-Oyebode is also a member of the Bring Back Our Girls Movement, which advocates for the return of the 276 Chibok schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram in April 2014.

Personal Life
Aisha Muhammed-Oyebode is married to Gbenga Oyebode, a lawyer and co-founder of Aluko & Oyebode. The couple has three children.
