Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, also known as AOCOED, is a higher education institute located in the Oto-Awori community in the Oto-Awori area of Ojo, Lagos State.
AOCOED offers the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) and undergraduate first degree courses in Education through its affiliation with Ekiti State University.
History
The college was formerly known as the Lagos State College of Education. It was established in 1958 as a Grade III teacher training college, with about ninety students in its first year.
In 1982, due to the lack of basic infrastructure, modern facilities, and a growing student population, the college was relocated from Surulere to its current site in Oto-Awori.
