Abdullahi Bawa Wuse (born 1963) is a Nigerian legal practitioner and politician, who was elected Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly in 2019.


Political Career

  • Elected to the Niger State House of Assembly for the first time in March 2019 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
  • Represents the Tafa Constituency.
  • The House Standing Order was waived to allow first-term members to contest the speakership.
  • Unopposed, Wuse emerged as Speaker of the House through a unanimous vote, following his nomination by Ahmed Mohammed Marafa, the immediate past Speaker.

Swearing-in

  • Sworn in by the Clerk of the Assembly, Abdullahi Mohammed Kagara.
  • Pledged to lead the House in accordance with the law.

Previous Positions

  • Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice under the administration of Governor Babangida Aliyu.
  • Former Chairman of Tafa Local Government.
